Hey!I’m Jenny, a self-proclaimed doodler and cat lover who calls Grand Rapids, Michigan my home.
Originally from the middle of the mitten, I fell in love with the culture and nature surrounding the West side while studying at Kendall College of Art and Design. It was there that I was able to grow as an artist and discover more about myself. I not only have a love for design, but I enjoy using a multitude of medias in my work. From screenprinting and other printmaking methods, to illustration and animation, to handmade crafts and murals, there’s no limit for me when it comes to creativity. I’ve always had a passion for helping others, especially animals. In the early 2010s, I fostered over 30 cats and kittens with my mom. It was during this time that I started volunteering my skills as a designer, photographer, and illustrator for a local animal rescue. This experience deepened my appreciation for how much of an impact art and design can have on the world around us. I’ve been thankful to have opportunities to continue working with non-profits throughout the years. More recently, I’ve started vending at artist markets in the Grand Rapids area. I love creating things that are unique and participating in markets has been a wonderful way to share my work and meet others in the community I call home. If I’m not out somewhere in nature taking photos and getting inspired, I’m probably at home hanging out with my failed foster cat Chance making something. I live to create. |
